pasir-ris SUX : BIKEWORLD
DUN GO TO PASIR RIS : BIKEWORLD SHOPcase 1 )
-went thru out sg in search of a bike to no avail.-went to pasir ris as the last stop for the day.-went to "BIKEWORLD".-ASKED for the prices of bike n tried em' out.its like, comeon... u gorta try out the bike b4 u buy right??! no one will be so STUPID to buy a bike; hundreds of $$, n not tryin to see if the bike fits u... gorta test if bike's too big/small, how it feels to ride on it, its responsiveness of brakes etc..then the sales person told me: eh, dun try the bike if u r not buying. try it only if u r TRUELY SINCERE bout buying the bike u r trying. ( u know, as in the feeling of the customer is that he/she have to buy the bike once he/she test on it. )BUT anyway,-i tried n found the bike i want...
i asked for home delivery n she said it wil cost $20 extra. then i asked if buy two bike to b delivered to the same location will cost any extra $$, guess wad? its $20 per bike, no $20 only for all. ok, so aft some little 'bargianing', she reduced it to $30 delivery charge 4 both bike. ok.. so its $15 per bike..*continue wif the bike i chose..*-double check again to see that...1) the bike is scratched2) suspension not aso smooth n the cover or it is abit out of shape3) the brakes are not to my expectation4) the stickers to the body of bike is not stuck on it properly5) 1 screw is missing ( at the place where u can fit a bottle-holder )so... its natural n expected for the buyer to ask if he will be given a brand new bike: without the presence of all these undesirables . so i asked... n my reply: plz leh.. u go see all the bikes in my shop.. find one that is in PERFECT condition.. ( she even challenged me to go find a bike that is $100++ that is perfect.. i told her that if she doesnt sell quality bikes, doesnt mean others aso sell low quality bikes. and if she really meant wad she said, i told her to wait. cuz when i'm free to look for bikes n i saw those of quality for $$ ones, i'l tel her where it is, which part of SG the shop is located n the MODEL NUMBER for the bike so she can FINALLY learn n see for herself wad bikes are meant to look like!! cuz dont expect me to buy a brand new bike (that may not be of my liking bud is of quality) to show it to her to prove my statement.she continued: u wont find one lo. cuz when the bikes are delivered here, they are packed in boxes (this i know) n its sure boung to have scratches n not in perfect condition ( this.. = bikes are not handled properly when delivered/fixed/not properly cared for ). u want perfect want rite? i have.. those >$300 or >$1000 wan.. u have the $$?or if u want u can put down a deposit, n i order one bike for u, straight out of the box, sure no one sat on it before. BUT, u have to take wadeva is delivered. u dun have i choice of choosing. i dont know whether wats inside the box is of basic requirement, bud u have to accept it if u choose to have a new bike.i was like: wah! wad r u try to say here.. like.. "WELCOME TO MY SHOP!!I'M SELLING ALL SPOILT BIKES N ITS NOT MY FAULT!!" n telling me that the bike may not be of quality even if shipped, u're telling me that u want me to throw my $$ into the sea, hoping that some big delicious fish wil eat it n deliver itself to be caught by me. hey, u know, thrown $$ into the sea hoping for a catch is even worst that fishing using a rod with an empty hook above water level.hello~ customer service n quality of purchased goods plz..aso, if i were to give this bike as a gift to others, who will want a scratched bike with missing parts n loose stickers attached to it?? think bout it in a customers point of view: going all the way ere in search 4 a bike, sales person giv attitude, bike thou the type of model is nice but in 'not-perfect' condition.. erm... juz think bout it.n btw, when buying stuffs like a bike, $$ isnt a prob.. the most impt is that the things bought muz suit ur liking, suit urself; the user.oh, n when i examine the bike from far, it seems to be "made in GERMANY".. but take a closer look: its spelt ' GEMINAY '.. man! haha.. not that i dun like the brand.. its u know... the effect of reaction of ppl when they see ur 'NEW' bike.alright. so aft some arguing boout e quality of bike.. the sales person seem to give me the feeling that : " come`on are you buying or not. if not say so n dont wasted my time. " then i'm bit fustrated bout e attitude.. so i rejected the purchase of bike.bud i ASKED her if she can give me the model number of the bike so i can go search for other places selling the same bike. bud aft some hestitation, she said: no. this bike no model number. juz the name "shimano". thats it.like hello again!!~ the shop have bout 5 or 6 bikes branded that. its like goin to a handphone shop, wanting to bud a 3G phone. n when asked wad exact model u prefer? u replied : NOKIA or THE PANOSONIC PHONE.LEMME TEL U THIS: its not gona work!! the sales person wil spend hours searchin for u phone = all nokia or other branded phones. The same rules apply ... get it?I EVEN HELPED TO PUT BACK ONE OF THE BIKES I TRIED BACK INTO ITS ORIGINAL POSITION - to make it easier for the shop owner.. like.. no one likes customers who make the shop a 'mess' right??
then my fren's thinking bout his bike(actually we want to buy together..) n discussing bout the mode of purchase wif the sales person like can it be delivered n cost etc... i said i dun want the bike any more..
reason: - quality of bike as listed..- n also..the pedals or plastic, not those made of stainless metal(the lady said that more money is needed to change the pedals to steel ones)
- attitude of salesmanship - most importantly... NO WARRANTY!!!!! the sales person siad that: aiya, no warranty is needed. our bikes nv gave problems. no customers complained much. n hor.. a bike is a road transport. so if its spoilt when travelling on the road, u wil get no refund wan. hello 4 the 3rd time.. no customer complained much not = to they are VERY happy. bikes nv giv prob now not = to they wont giv prob later.wad if i bought the bike, then found that a screw or brake's missing? n i still have to play extra for the missing parts?? NOWAY!! arnt bikes to be sold SUPPOSED to be not only in perfect working condition, bud aso not be an eyes sore to the user or others?.. paying hundreds of $$ for my own displeasure isnt quite wad i intended to do. no now, not ever .
such facts.. u gorta understand man.. oh n also, the lady said that if the bike really is spolit, n i want a new bike as refund, i have to pay additional unknown amount of $$. so its like a one time purchase of no return...** ok, so aft rejecting the purchasing of bike.. prob starts........two monkeys in their late 20s or early 30(i tink) approached me. the started blabbering off harsh words right when they r in front of me. * things like: "eh!dunbuy den test so much 4 wad" "who do u tink u r..""i've been watching u 4 a long time n u r getting on my nerves"(hey, like.. if watch a handsome guy like me get on ur nerves.. den dun look at me la! e eyes r yours.. if it cnt stant nice tings, den look at e mirror lo.. u have your freedom of vision)"i may not be the owner of the shop. bud upon seeing u as a customer iriks me"- lasted for 5 min+ (other comments excluded for censorshp purposes)- * then comes the harsher...."nian qing ren, wo hen kan bu shuang ni de yan shen, zui hao bu yao rang wo zai wai mian kan dao ni!!"(translate: young chap, i dun like the look/view of your eyes, juz let me catch u outside again!!)"dun try the bike if u dun intend to buy. u have see how outside try bike n dun buy de?"(ok.. u may b right.. bud.. try bike = muz buy? NO... n... some ppl may b too busy to try out the bike.. not me. )"u betta watch out!! one more time i see u... *mummble..*"(aft say this, one guy turned round n punched his fist down/to the palm of his other hand. *mumble* - possible chance of vulgarities used)they even 'showed' me how my attitude is as a customer. one of em slammed the bike saying that this is how i handled the bike. then they accused me of making the bikes dirty when i "rode it in the rain".
( yes i rode it, bud i rode it in front of the shop for no more than 10 metres!! yes its raining then, bud i took caution not to ride it anywhere near areas close to the rain. so... coming back to the point, HOW M I SUPPOSE TO BE MAKING THE BIKES DIRTY BY SUPPOSINGLY "RIDING IN THE RAIN???!!!")
this is 100% accusation man! try to blame me for everyting.. know wad i think bout this? i think that aft he slammed the bike, he's afraid that the bike might be spoilt my his action/ one of the screw of the bike might be loosened. so he's trying to blamed me for that.
of cuz i refused to admit to "my supposingly action"..
oh please! i loved bikes n like to see bikes well polished n perfect.. that's a fact. so how do u expect a bike lover to not know how to take care of the bikes properly?? i'm not those who loves to admire spoilt/dirty bikes anyway .
wow... shocked my the attitude the potrayed to me . is this a threat? a kind of curse to me? i duno know.. or mayb, i dun wana know.. ok .. upon that my seeing my friends does not seem to welcome a fight (esp. aft we've travelled the distance= the length the circumferrence of SG)
i tried to cool em off by reasoning wif them my point of view.. BUD IT ISNT WORKIN.. THEY CONTINUED.. u know.. durin a quarrel... the worst is that ur 'opponent' consist of two radio heads!! SO THEY CONTINUED.. THEIR non-stop blabber.
so its a [1 v 2] situation.. so good... summore if they really wana fight.. i'm at their territory.. no good again.. aft i failed wif reasoning, i even apologised even thou i'm not at fault.. u know.. perhaps to em.. customers ARE NOT FIT ENOUGH TO REJECT THE PURCHASE OF GOODS if its not to their liking.. or perhaps... as i said always: its the consquence of being shuai . haha .
now.. even aft i apologised, wad i get in return is..
: " eh! dun say sorry to me la hor. its not gonna work. its ur attitude n e look of ur face that is the cause. *n blabbering continues...*
ok .. its WAD THE HELL IS WRONG WIF U NOW!! DURING UR BLABBERING, U ADMIT THAT U HAVE NUTIN TO DO WIF THE SHOP. U'RE JUZ SITTING BY THE SIDE..(dog?) so y care so much?
i AMAZED how fast these guys can talk when they combined forces.
so i ended e whole thing by sayin: ok la, since we cant 'connect' den dun talk liao. u dun talk to me n i dun talk to u. every one happy. cuz its like U R NOT EVEN THE OWNER !! WHEN THE BOSS'S NOT COMPLAINING ALOUD, Y R U? LOL... amazing how k-poh ppl can get.. stuffing their noses into a small issue, making a mountain out of a mole hill..
BUT, there's stil one prob.. my fren's stil buying the bike thinking its a good catch!!!!!!!!! omg.. arent customers suppose to no buy anytin n storm out of the shop, never coming back?
ok.. so aft his purchase we left the place.. BUT i'm still not happy! think... coming to some place.. found ur item.. dun buy cuz of outside infulences.. scolded unnecessarily etc...
lesson learnt from the day:
1) threathening still persist in the "modern" word of ours
2) its ok for customers to reject their purchase if its not suitable for them ( customer's choice )
3) shop owners mus learn to respect their customers n practice customer service. ( no matter wad u say, its still because of customers that u can remain running ur shop )
4) ppl nowadays r k-poh, n k-poh ppl .. u cant reason or talk sense wif them
5) BIKEWORLD is a no-go 4 me, or for potential customers.. who want to try out the goods they r to purchase.
( bud its sure a good n fast choice for ppl who do not care bout the quiality of goods they buy/customer service/ n do not see if the thing they buy really suits them )
no way i'm gona forget n let this off so easily.. 2 monkeys n a chopper shop.. i gtg for now...
